I would like to make print larger on face book.I tried clicking on page .but nothing?

Written by admin on April 6, 2009 – 1:30 pm -

I just bought a new computer and I find the print to be quite small on face book, I would like to make the print larger.

Didn't say what kind of computer, but if running Windows, see:

To change your system settings to large fonts, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Display.
3. On the Settings tab, click to select Large Fonts in the Font Size list, and then click OK.

NOTE: It may be necessary to restart Windows to apply the system settings change.

Other ways is to use the Ctrl + to enlarge or the Ctrl – to decrease font size on web pages temporarily. If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, you can do a Ctrl + move mouse wheel up/down.

Your browser will also do this for you by going to Options and setting the font size you want to use for web pages, but you have to select to over ride this. Not a good idea. Also, from your browser, you can go to View>Text Size and make changes.

Ebay – The book I won is in LARGE PRINT. What should I do?

Written by admin on March 22, 2009 – 4:29 am -

I bought a book off Ebay. I am so disappointed though. It is in LARGE PRINT.

I just looked at the posting of the book and doesn't say anything about large print on the page of the auction.

I just emailed the seller. I suffer from migraines and there is no way I can read this book. It is like reading something someone wrote in all CAPS.

What should I do if they say to bad? This is something that should be listed in the description of the book.

Link to auction won:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200208389726&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=010

I sell on Ebay myself and as a seller I feel it is my JOB and DUTY to tell the buyer what they are getting. I want the buyer to be happy.

Also this book isn't just published in large print. Amazon.com shows copies of this book one large print and one not.

I hate disagreeing with other comments to this question but all the information was presented in the Ebay posting. The seller clearly listed the ISBN-10 and the ISBN-13 numbers. With these numbers the buyers can easily verify exactly what the seller is offering. I went to Amazon.com and pasted the ISBN-13 number into the search catagory and the book came right up. To clerify, the regular print/paperback edition poped up, not the large print edition. With the information given, you had every right to expect a regular print edition.

Contact the seller and explain the mistake. She will have to offer you a full refund, and hopefully a refund for your expense in return postage. If the seller is uncooperative then seek Ebay support. This was a seller error. I am not clear on Ebay policy but good business would suggest the seller refund your money.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me on this matter. I had once upon a time operated a small used book store on Ebay, though not too successfull. I would be glad to help if i can.

Do publishers print larger type college text books for the more mature (older) student.?

Written by admin on March 21, 2009 – 3:54 am -

Every year the words seem a bit smaller….but perhaps it is just that I am year older.

No, I don't think they do. But perhaps if they have an electronic version of the book, you could increase the text size on the computer.

It's a great idea – but probably not cost effective for the publisher.
