You should try Orson Scott Card. He writes Sci-Fi and fantasy books. One of his most famous book is Enders Game. I read it and all the sequals. References :
1. Robert Asprin. (sp?) Full of puns and plenty of fantasy.
2. Terry Pratchett. My favorite writer in any genre. His satire and characters are great.
3. Ray Bradbury & Issac Asimov. Classics in sci-fi.
4. Dragonlance Chronicles. Good fantasy adventure.
5. Death Gate Cycle. Another series by Hickman and Weis.
6. The Talisman by Stephen King & Peter Straub. It's a good adventure story.
7. Douglas Adams. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is fun.
Just some ideas from my book shelves. I loved them when I read them. I love the fantasy/sci-fi genre. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. References :
Definitely try Melanie Rawn. She's awesome!! A friend of mine turned me onto her series' when I finished most of the ones you mentioned above. Try them, you won't be disappointed!!
Try Trickster's Choice and its sequel, Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce. They were amazing books, and you might like them because I like pretty much everything you listed. References :
George R R Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. In depth characters that pull you in, subplots that are truly surprising, and well written. The books are a good 800+ pages, but you'll find it hard to put down. References :
