McCain Right USA Based on Judeo-Christian Principles?

When Senators Barack Obama and John McCain both appeared at the Saddleback Civil Forum on the Presidency with Pastor Rick Warren last weekend, McCain used a myth about the supposed Judeo-Christian origin of American principles to pander to the evangelical Christian audience in a way I contrast with an Obama appearance at another Baptist church earlier this year. COMIC BOOK PREDICTS BLACK MAN ELECTED PRESIDENT

In 1964 Treasure Chest Magazine, a comic book distributed in Catholic grade schools, predicted and suggested that a black man (a Negro as they termed him) be elected in 1976. It was called “1976 Pettigrew for President.” Here are some of the panels from the multi-part story which ran from January to June 1964.
